Commissioned by the “Muséum d’histoire naturelle” in Lyon, France

The atmosphere in a natural history museum is often mysterious and sometimes disturbing. Who is the observer? Who is the observed?
A strange interaction takes place between the visitor and the exhibited articles. The object reflects our memories and our history, leading us to a reflection on humanity and our own evolution. My work focused on this dual regard.
This project was made possible by a “carte blanche” invitation from the “Muséum d’histoire naturelle” in Lyon. The other invited photographers were Daniel and Geo Fuchs, Bernard Descamps and Touhami Ennadre. The exhibition brought together our works, presented within the Museum.
